A BRAND BUILT ON FAITH

Faith over fear is more than just a captionable quote for the Classy Girl Essentials haircare line. It is the sole reason our brand lives and breathes today. As a Christ led company, faith is at the very core of who we are.
The name Classy Girl Essentials was divinely given to me 7 years ago and originally was designed to be a nail polish brand. But as the story goes, God had other plans that were not quite evident at the time. As a matter of fact, for 7 years there was complete silence from God as to how to pivot and where to go next. Then suddenly, God spoke and instructed me to use the name to curate a natural hair care line.
Now during that 7 year period of silence, I didn’t sit idly. I continued on with my YouTube channel creating natural hair content about my journey etc. What I learned from my own and others experience was the need for haircare that truly nourished and moisturized the hair for long periods of time. This led to a passion of creating DIY formulas and sharing with my audience. I loved giving back and encouraging other naturals on their journey to fall in love with who God created them to be. What began as a scribble under my goals in my journal was now given the green light by God. The instructions from him were clear, “Start your natural hair care line”.
I wish I could tell you that I jumped right in and began the process, but my reaction was quite the opposite. Instead of choosing faith, I immediately spiraled with questions that stemmed from fear. Will anyone like my products? Will anyone buy my products? Is it really worth it to go through all of what comes with building a brand? Is this lane too saturated? I was quickly reminded of Jeremiah 32:27 “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?” At that moment I felt total peace as God manifested his presence and guided me literally through the entire process.
In closing, I want to encourage anyone who’s reading this to choose Faith over fear. I admit that this is sometimes easier said than done, but with the help of the father “We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us (Phillipians 4:13).” He doesn’t need us to understand or have it all figured out, he just wants us to trust him. I pray for you on your journey and that the spirit of fear be released from you so that you may live out your purpose and walk in all the promises God has for you!
